37 Lords Way in Windham is a custom-built home on an unbelievably dramatic site.  The house is set just below the top of Canada Hill, and overlooks a wide, bucolic valley with spectacular views of the White Mountains, including the iconic Mt Washington. In the foreground is an abutting, working, organic farm protected by covenants, so it will remain open space in perpetuity.  The home takes full advantage of the site with open vistas, mature trees and bare ledge, offering gorgeous views from every room.  This property is private and remote, a world away from roads and traffic, yet centrally located about 20 minutes to Portland, the Jetport or Sebago Lakes Region.

The 30 acre site is partly wooded with mature trees and the areas immediately around the house cleared to open up the views and create room for outdoor living space, lush gardens and plenty of room for produce gardening.  The exposed ledge on the site provided the inspiration for extensive hardscaping using stone either from the property itself or locally sourced, including a sunken patio featuring a smokeless fire pit perfect for fireside gatherings.  The available abutting land is mostly undisturbed woods and includes a private pond, hiking trails, and remnants of a pre-civil war granite quarry.including a sunken patio featuring a smokeless fire pit perfect for fireside gatherings.
